A woman standing in a field of tall grass with mountains in the distance

Just Look, You Still Stand

I watched the moon,
As she stood in solidarity with the sun,
In the in between hours of day and dusk.

I wondered if she ever feels out of place—
Away from her starry skies,
And nights of deep infinite blue.

For she found herself in a place,
Where she wouldn’t normally stand,
Yet, she held herself,
With innermost poise,
And unmoving grace.

The world moves,
She still stands.

Just look,
You still stand.
