Therefore, Mediterranean food makes for the quintessential cuisine, so we’re happy to share some favorite Mediterranean dips perfect to serve for your next summer soiree, pool party, or a girls night in. Not only are these dishes healthy and delicious, but they are also so simple to make. Serve them with pita chips, tortilla chips, roasted vegetables, raw veggies or any combination.

Yes, you can easily buy hummus and babaganoush from the deli section at your local market, but why not make it yourself? It will taste better and you will also have the satisfaction of making it from scratch and embracing your inner hostess. Get ready to dive in!

Mediterranean Dip Platter: Hummus + Babaganoush 
Babaganoush Ingredients: 
½ Large Roasted Eggplant
½ Cup Olive Oil
1/8 Cup of Tahini Paste
2 Cloves of Garlic, small chop
2 Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
½ Tsp of Salt
½ Tsp of Pepper
1 Bunch of Parsley

 Babaganoush Directions: 
Over an open flame, roast exterior of eggplant until completely black. Allow it to cool and then remove skin leaving only the cook-roasted interior. In a blender or food processor combine: roasted eggplant, apple cider vinegar, tahini, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Pulse on low and begin to incorporate olive oil. Pulse until reach desired texture, somewhere between smooth and chunky. Adjust salt and pepper to desired taste.

Mediterranean 2

Chipotle Hummus Ingredients:
1 Can of Chickpeas
½ Cup of Olive Oil
2 Tbsp of Water
2 Tbsp of Tahini Paste
½ Lemon, (its juice)
3 Chipotle Peppers in Adobo
3 Cloves of Garlic, small chop
1 tsp of Red Wine Vinegar
½ tsp of Cumin
½ tsp of Paprika
½ tsp of Salt
½ tsp of Pepper

 Chipotle Hummus Directions:
In a blender or food processor combine: chickpeas, chipotle peppers, red wine vinegar, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper. Pulse on low and begin to incorporate olive oil and water. Pulse until hummus is smooth. Adjust salt and pepper to desired taste.
