In 2012, Bridget Hilton and Joe Huff started LSTN—a music startup based in West Hollywood, CA—to give back through the power of music while providing unique products that sound amazing and look great. They figured, guitars, violins and pianos are made of wood—why not headphones? Each individual pair is crafted from real, reclaimed exotic woods and delivers incredible audio—a natural warm sound, rich powerful bass, full mids and crisp highs.
More than just superior sound quality, LSTN is a company with a mission to create global change by providing high quality products that help fund hearing restoration and spread awareness for the global problem of hearing loss and hearing impairment. How do they do that now? Through their Giving Back. Amplified program, every pair of headphones purchased means that LSTN helps restore hearing to a child in need through the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The foundation travels the globe, delivering the transformative gift of hearing to people in need. They have well documented and highly effective programs and have provided over one million hearing aids to date in over 100 countries worldwide, including the US. Every year they provide 100,000 hearing aids to to people in need around the world, and they are committed to over 1,000,000 this decade.
LSTN set out to create something that could change the world—and we think they’re doing a pretty great job at it.
