facial oils

Fresh finds from FabFitFun! They’re sharing their suggestions for how to keep the cold from damaging our skin by using the ubiquitous facial oils seen across shelves everywhere. Below they’re detailing what to look for, what brands are best and how you can find the oil that’s right for you. Worth the splurge? Find out.

While we love the tidings of the season, we aren’t super thrilled that winter weather can equal seriously dry skin. Nothing is worse that slathering on your daily moisturizer only to still have dry spots! WTH, Jack Frost?! Sometimes you have to whip out the heavy artillery when the weather starts to dry and dull your skin.

Even if you don’t have especially dry skin, incorporating an oil into your skincare routine can do wonders. When shopping for an oil you’ll want something non-greasy. Make sure you ask if the oil can be worn under makeup or if it should just be worn at night or on a makeup-free face. You don’t want all those layers of product to clog your pores.

Rodin Olio Lusso Face Oil

This is sort of the Beyonce of face oils. It’s a cult fave and beauty buyers swear by it. No, it’s not cheap (didn’t we say it’s like Beyonce?) but it works. Thanks to a formula containing a luxurious blend of 11 essential oils, this oil not only moisturizes but adds a bit of luminosity to your skin — which can easily be lost this time of year. $170

Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil

If you suffer from extra dry skin this time of the year (or really anytime) then Bobbi Brown is your home girl. She’s no stranger to giving us incredibly effective and amazing products, but this oil goes above and beyond. Thanks to a blend of natural sesame, almond, olive, and jojoba oils this product will blend into your skin and won’t leave any filmy top layer. $65

La Mer ‘The Renewal Oil’

Yes, we know La Mer is known for being as expensive as it is amazing. But if you want a top of the line oil that seriously works, this is it. Not only is this oil going to moisturize your skin, it’s also going to improve your collagen levels which lessons the appearance of fine lines. In turn, it makes your skin look softer and more supple. Please and thank you. $245

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

You’ve probably draped your hair in Argan Oil when it’s parched but it can also help hydrate your face. This oil boasts being, “so pure you can use it on your baby, or use it to dress your salad”. While I don’t think we’ll try eating it, we do love knowing that the products we are putting on our face are natural and safely absorbed into our skin. $48
