Sometimes in life we just need a fresh start, a new perspective. A good starting point is to draw, collage, or paint your new “life motto.”

All you need is old magazines, scissors, a glue stick, a piece of white paper, and an art pen.

Begin by thinking about what the main thing is that you want to change, or focus on in your new season of life. Try and condense this feeling into a phrase.

In my example below, “strength to flourish” meant that I wanted to be stronger, trust myself more, and believe I could actually achieve my dreams and life goals. So, I came up with the phrase, and then found images that represented this phrase to me. The books: remind me to learn and read more.

The dress texture: reminds me to be feminine and gentle in my pursuits.

The shoes and funky tights: Tell me to be original.

The word “divine”: inspires me to turn to God for guidance.

The map: Spurs me on to travel to expand my perspectives.

The wood textures: bring me back to my roots of nature.

Try this exercise with a bunch of friends and then share your goals so you can keep each other accountable!
