The ice has melted, thawing winter’s deep freeze.
Dew drips from the tips of glowing green leaves.
Flora and fauna and blossoms and blooms,
A mossy tree trunk and burgeoning cocoons.

Birdsong echoes through valley and thicket.
Resting wildlife awakes, their pace starts to quicken.
Sweet smells of verdant grass blades and budding peonies,
The woodpecker drums steady among old oak trees.

Everything stirring and whirling, enchantment enfolds.
April crisp mornings, clouds opening gold.
Spring rain streams the sill, welcoming life all around.
