Darling has been busy planning events all over California this winter season and we cannot wait to share them with you! It all began with an al-fresco Thanksgiving family style meal at our editor-in-chief’s home, continued with a holiday party in San Francisco with the lovely ladies of Women & Whiskies and culminated with our Winter Issue No.14 launch and holiday party in Culver City.

Let’s start off with a recap of the Darling Thanksgiving Dinner. (We know we’re a bit behind here, but we’re so thankful for this event and still want to share it!)

Thanksgiving Darling Dinner

We love hosting Darling Dinners because they are so intimate and refreshing. The like-minded ladies who attend the dinners are open, honest and vulnerable with each other, which creates an inspiring atmosphere that’s truly contagious. At each dinner, we ask a series of questions to spark conversation and to encourage other women to share their stories and their thoughts.

Questions were asked such as:

  1. Do you struggle with being ungrateful?
  2. What is one thing you would like to say to a family member over the holidays?
  3. Do you consider yourself to be a thankful person?

The ladies each discussed these questions with sincerity over a delicious family-style meal by Chef Felix, cocktails by The Whaling Club and delicious cookies by Milk Jar Cookies. The environment was absolutely stunning with divine Dish Wish tabletop décor, flowers by Chelsea Carter, linens by Resource One and roaring bonfires.

Darling Winter Events Recap

Shortly after the Thanksgiving Dinner, Darling headed up to San Francisco for a cocktail party with Women & Whiskies where guests mingled and sipped on the crowd favorite, “Stocking Stuffer”. Head over to this post for a full recap.

The busy season ended with a festive holiday party at Bar & Garden Annex in Culver City to celebrate the launch of our Winter Issue No.14.

Guests tasted delicious Union Wine Co. wines and homemade hot chocolate by Benchic while listening to the lovely singer-songwriting duo Giorgi+ Leo. Guests also sampled Farmbox organic fruit and spent the majority of their evening taking photos in the sleek amigobooth.

Overall, it was an incredible night spent celebrating the incredible achievement of all the contributors that worked on Darling’s Winter Issue No.14 and served as the perfect holiday send-off. Search #aVeryDarlingHoliday for more photos on social media!
